Michael Rocklin, MD

Dr. Rocklin grew up in Oregon, spending his youth living along the Willamette River within beautiful Armitage State Park where his father served as Park Manager. He moved to California to study biology at Stanford University, graduating with distinction in 1990. Dr. Rocklin spent the next year serving as a member of Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) providing outreach and developing community resources in San Francisco, CA. He received his MD at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Renal Disease and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  

Dr. Rocklin has practiced in the Denver metro since 2000, primarily engaged in clinical practice but has also served in roles as Director of Quality and Chief Medical Officer for his practice. He is passionate about patient education, patient empowerment and leveraging analytics to continually improve quality practice processes to drive better patient care. He currently serves as a VP of Clinical Affairs for US Renal Care where he can continue to focus on improving the quality of care delivered to patients with kidney disease.  

Dr. Rocklin enjoys working with patients with all types of kidney disease, as well as helping patients with difficult to control hypertension. He enjoys teaching, serving as a clinical instructor at Sky Ridge Medical Center for the medical students and residents training at Rocky Vista University. Dr. Rocklin has also served as the Medical Director of a Dialysis Facility for his 20 years of practice and remains committed to improving the care for patients with end stage kidney disease.  He truly believes in personalized care and enjoys getting to know his patients.  

Dr. Rocklin and his wife, Marnie are blessed with two children.  In their free time, the family enjoys board games, travel and hiking in the Colorado Mountains.
